As you walk in, the aroma of freshly baked bread fills the air, a testament to their commitment to quality. Vegetarian options like the flavorful B.L.T. ensure that all patrons can find a delightful choice. Customers appreciate the local twist on classic offerings, making it a unique dining experience.
While some may find the deli's prices on the higher end, diners frequently mention the freshness of the ingredients and the generous portions as justifications for the cost. Jack Buglewicz, one enthusiastic reviewer, acknowledged that while a 12-inch sandwich with a drink might seem pricey, the experience of enjoying fresh, quality food is worth every penny.
In a city where authentic New York deli options are limited, Gandolfo’s New York Deli - Omaha stands out not only for its incredible sandwiches but also for its clean atmosphere and friendly staff. With rave reviews and a menu that captures the essence of East Coast flavors, this deli has quickly become a local favorite.

“ Was craving a sandwich and found this spot. Excellent variety to choose from between hot and cold sandwiches. I gave their dagwood a shot. They bake their own bread. The bread had a nice crust and was soft and chewy on the I side. The ham, turkey, and pastrami were plenty and wasn't overtly salty. Good ratio of meat to veggies to sauce to bread. Well balanced sandwich, really top notch. ”
“ I got the the I Love NY sandwich with a side of coleslaw. It costs about 20 so being from CA, I had to compare it to Langers. The meat not the same style as Langers, it’s more traditional thin sliced, tender and smoky. It was delicious and worth it. ”
“ Stopped in for lunch for a Dagwood and loved it. Bit pricey for a 12 inch sandwich and drink but I could tell it was fresh! ”
“ I love New York sandwiches and love that there is a sandwich place in Omaha that gives me a taste of the East Coast. Gandolf sandwiches are amazing. I try a new one every time. My favorite is the pastrami. You can never go wrong with a pastrami and swiss on rye bread. Don't forget to add a pickel. I forgot to add one this time, but I'll be back. ”
“ Best sandwich shop in town for it authenticity. Food was amazing, clean atmosphere, pleasant staff. ”
“ The little italy was the best sandwich I have ever eaten! ”
“ Was in town looking for a non chain and found this place. Sandwich was SO good. Wish I lived closer! ”
“ Fresh French dip creamy and beefy, and loved the pickle!! Having three options for side not just standard chips is great. I’d eat a whole jar of the pickles if available. ”
